Human Networks Journal (HN JOURNAL) publishes work that involves human networks, understanding the broad concept that can refer to different things such as:
Social networks: These are online platforms such as Facebook, X or Instagram that allow people to connect, communicate and share information. These networks have had a huge impact on the way we relate and communicate.
Professional contact networks: These are networks that are created in the work or professional environment, such as LinkedIn. These networks are useful for job searching, networking, and knowledge sharing.
Collaboration networks: These are networks that are formed to achieve a common goal, such as a research project or a social initiative. These networks can be formal or informal.
Knowledge networks: These are networks that are created to share and disseminate knowledge, such as learning communities or online discussion groups.
In a broader sense, human networks refer to any set of people who are connected to each other by some kind of relationship, whether personal, professional, or social. These networks can be very diverse and serve different purposes. Human networks can be approached from the social or human sciences, as long as social research methods are used.
