- Social networks: These are online platforms such as Facebook, X or Instagram that allow people to connect, communicate and share information. These networks have had a huge impact on the way we relate and communicate.
- Professional contact networks: These are networks that are created in the work or professional environment, such as LinkedIn. These networks are useful for job searching, networking, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaboration networks: These are networks that are formed to achieve a common goal, such as a research project or a social initiative. These networks can be formal or informal.
- Knowledge networks: These are networks that are created to share and disseminate knowledge, such as learning communities or online discussion groups.
In a broader sense, human networks refer to any set of people who are connected to each other by some kind of relationship, whether personal, professional, or social.
